- Read words and raw pictures for the words – nouns.

- Write the meaning for the words.
- Make up an acrostic poem.
- Write your words in interesting sentences.
- How many words can you use in a sentence?
- Write questions using your spelling words.
- Write answers for your questions.
- Make a chart out of all your word lists this term.
- Play hangman.
- Make your own find a word.
- Have a go at typing your words on the computer.
- Write your words on cardboard (n do this twice) and play memory or concentration.
- Sort words into similar groups.
- Use play dough to make your words.
- Use texta, crayon or chalk to write your words in fancy writing.
- Make words biscuits (with and adult).

- Missing letters – ask an adult to write a word for you with some letters missing – you write the missing letters in.
