Topic Talks – Term 4

Topic Talks are a very important component of Year One’s Speaking and Listening Program. We kindly ask that all topic talks are ready to present on Monday and children will be selected at random throughout the week to present their topic talk.

Week 2 — Favourite part of the school holidays.

Tell the class about something exciting or special that you did in the holidays.

Week 3 — Seasons of the Year

What is your favourite season? Research and tell us 3 interesting facts about it, and 3 things you like to do in this season.

Week 4 — Dream Pet

If you could have any pet in the world what would it be and why? Where would you keep it? What would you feed it?

Week 5 — Favourite Food

Talk about your favourite food. When do you get to eat it? Is it food you eat on special occasions or can you eat it everyweek?

What is their favourite sport and why? Do you have a favourite position if it is a team sport?

Week 7 — Christmas Wish List

Can you tell us what you are hoping for, for Christmas? We would also love to hear where you will be for Christmas and how you celebrate this special day.
